Look Good Feel Better magazine/2007

Client: Canadian Cosmetics, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CCTFA)

KJ & Company partnered with Rogers Publishing to produce the 15th anniversary issue of the Look Good Feel Better magazine for women with cancer. The magazine has a national circulation of 1.5 million.

KJ & Company worked directly with the client—The Canadian Cosmetics, Toiletry and Fragrance Association — to develop on-strategy solutions for increasing brand awareness. We also assembled and managed an off-site editorial team consisting of a creative director, designer, writers, a copy-editor, fact-checker and proofreader.

In addition, KJ & Company partnered with St. Joseph Media to produce the annual Look Good Feel Better magazine in 2002, 2003 and 2004.

Glow Health/May & November 2005

Client: Shoppers Drug Mart

In 2005, KJ & Company partnered with Rogers Media to produce of Glow Health magazine for Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM). KJ & Company assembled and managed an offsite editorial team consisting of a creative director, designer, writers, a copy editor, fact-checker and proof-reader.

Glow Health is an integral part of the SDM marketing strategy known as “the Healthwatch program.” The magazine is used to raise awareness of SDM pharmacists’ expertise in helping Canadians prevent and manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, arthritis, osteoporosis, heart disease and cancer. The magazine is mailed to a select list of 225,000 women with prescriptions for treatment of these diseases.

Look Good Feel Better/2003, 2004, 2005

Client: Canadian Cosmetics, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CCTFA)

KJ & Company partnered with St. Joseph Media (formerly Multi-Vision Inc.) to fulfill a three-year contract with the CCTFA to produce annual issues of the Look Good Feel Better magazine. KJ & Company worked directly with the client—The Canadian Cosmetics, Toiletry and Fragrance Association — to develop on-strategy solutions for increasing brand awareness. We brought in freelance health writers to develop content and worked with an art director employed St. Joseph Media to manage all aspects of editorial production and design.

Honda Expressions cover

EXPRESSIONS/2001, 2002, 2003

Client: Honda Canada

KJ & Company partnered with St. Joseph Media to produce six issues of Expressions magazine for Honda Canada. The glossy magazine was used by Honda dealership managers as a value-added for their luxury vehicle owners. About 50% of the magazine was devoted to Honda R& D, new car design and features; the other half was devoted to lifestyle issues of interest to 150,000 Acura owners — food, wine, travel, luxury retail items, health, financial advice, golf, etc. KJ & Company worked directly with the client to produce a “fully-loaded” promotional vehicle. We brought in freelance automotive and lifestyle writers to develop content and worked with an art director employed St. Joseph Media to manage all aspects of editorial production and design.
